I signed the papers this morning and just dropped the check off. I saw the Fed-Ex truck in the parking lot on its way to the title company.
Jenifer tried to do a walk-through again today and the owner is still there. A neighbor was in the house, too, and when Jenifer introduced herself, the neighbor would not shake her hand, but said, “We were hoping for someone with children. We all love the (sellers).”
Not the typical mid western friendliness I’ve encountered. Maybe the other neighbors will be nicer.
I can’t thank you enough for all you did to help us. One more favor, please: What would be a nice thank-you gift for Bruce? Symphony tickets, a sports pass/tickets of some kind, a gift basket (wine or food?), restaurant gift certificate, Best Buy gift card? Anything else?

I was about half way through the approval process with North American Savings Bank when an unexpected turn of events happened. I was recalled back to active duty and still held my job with the railroad, since my time on contract was less than a year with the military NASB needed proof that I would get my position back with the railroad. I provided them everything they asked for and they still said that I would have to wait until I was released from active duty and received my first check from the railroad before they could do anything else. Hi Mr. Brown. After hearing your ads on the radio for quite some time now, I was compelled to write you to say THANK YOU for being up front, honest and to the point. Having worked in the mortgage business for a little over 5 years, I know exactly what you’re saying. The ads that you call out on the radio absolutely infuriate me and was one of the many reasons I got out of the business. The misrepresentation, the fraud, the dishonesty, all to make a buck. I truly believe that if there weren’t so many dishonest mortgage people out there, the economy would not be as bad off as it is today. Granted, it takes two to tango, but why can’t people just be honest and tell them exactly how a home loan works? I know the people that used me did so because they trusted me…obviously I never had the best rate, but they knew what they were getting up front with NO surprises in the end.
